How we source data
GameHunt is only useful if you can trust what it tells you. These are the rules every page follows.
Every fact has a source
Each game page lists where its details came from and when we last checked them. If a detail isn't recorded, we say so instead of guessing.
Official places to get games
We link to a game's official site, its developer, or an authorized store. We don't host game files, and we never call a game free because an unofficial mirror offers it. Older or delisted games aren't automatically free to download, so we treat them the same way.
"Free" means one specific thing
Open source, free forever, free to play, demos, and limited-time giveaways are labeled separately. A demo is not the full game, and a subscription is not free.
No invented numbers
We don't publish made-up ratings, release dates, frame-rate predictions, or prices. When we add prices, each one will show the store, region, currency, and when it was observed.
Independent rankings
If GameHunt ever shows sponsored placements or earns from store links, they will be clearly labeled and won't change how games are ranked.
